“Within everything is the seed of everything” is a famous axiom of the alchemists. These theoretical “seeds” were described as infinitesimally small material that, through art, could be made manifest.
Through this concept, alchemists believed they could transmute base metals into gold; the seed of gold is within every base metal. And, through this same concept, they pursued the creation of the Philosopher’s Stone, which would grant its user immortality. The seed of eternal life is in everything.
By finding these seeds and nurturing them through the intricate process of alchemy, this part could transform the whole.
A similar concept is described in A. G. Sertillanges book, The Intellectual Life, which explores the idea that all fields of knowledge are interconnected: every subject contains elements of every other subject.
Sertillanges uses this idea to later claim that specialization can be a limitation. While expertise is valuable, being too specialized can lead to intellectual stagnation. A broad, interconnected approach leads to deeper insights and creativity.
The book aligns with Renaissance-style learning, where science, philosophy, and art were not separate pursuits but interconnected explorations of truth. It provides a framework for cultivating a rich, dynamic intellectual life by embracing curiosity, critical thinking, and the ability to see patterns across disciplines.
It directly supports the foundation of HALFMOON by reinforcing the idea that everything is connected, and through deep inquiry and open-minded exploration, we can expand our understanding of reality.
We live in a time where a great mystery has been forgotten: no matter how much we know, there will always be infinitely more that we don’t know.
This community is an ode to curiosity — a testament to creative thought.

WHAT IS HALFMOON?
HALFMOON is a multidisciplinary academy and community which explores the intersections of metaphysics, science, art, and philosophy.
It is designed for creatives and intellectuals alike — the experts and the Jacks of all trades. It is for the seekers of truth, those willing to share their knowledge, and those simply seeking inspiration.
HALFMOON is inspired by the ancient practice of alchemy, and uses alchemical terms to describe its domains.

Academy: Live Workshops & Courses
This is the section to explore ideas in a direct, explicit way. Kailee utilizes her M.A. in education to communicate metaphysical concepts, ideas, and theory.
All HALFMOON members joining between Feb 12 - Mar 14 receive free access to her complete course, How to Alchemize Your Mind.
All HALFMOON members also receive free access to monthly live workshops which take place on the half moon. These workshops vary in topic between manifestation, physics, art, and more. These workshops are recorded
Athanor: Manifestation & Exploration of Change
Athanor is the alchemical word for the furnace. The athanor is the place where change happens.
This is the place to directly engage in conversation with Kailee and other community members on the process and experience of manifestation. This area is founded on the concept that because there will always be infinitely more that we do not know, there are infinite other ways of being.
In the Athanor, we discuss the subconscious mind, metaphysics, and share our personal experiences.
Azoth: Metaphysical, Philosophical, and Scientific Discussion
Are you an expert in a field? An artist? A rabbit-hole-explorer? Azoth is the alchemical word for the mysterious universal life force — the thing that connects us all.
Many of us lack places where we can share our ideas and learning. Azoth is the place to share your books, lectures, analyses, and read the ideas of others.
It is a place of inspiration: fuel for your art & your pursuit of your own studies.
